How to Sync Microsoft Access Database Table Changes (Access 2013, Access 2016)

If new columns are either deleted or added in Access 2013 or Access 2016, you may need to resync the changes from the database server.

Step-by-step guide


  1. Open up Access 2013 or Access 2016 and login to the database
  2. Right click on the database table name
  3. Select "Linked Table Manager"
  4. Click on the checkbox(es) for the tables you wish to update. Click on the Ok button


  5. This will automatically reload the updated table design (new columns, deleted columns, etc) to your machine.
